Historic Hot Lake Springs:  This site once flourished in camas and drew native Americans from long distances.  It was considered a holy place of rest and healing.  Over the centuries it became a premier resort for the rich and famous.  Hot Lakes boasted of catering to American Presidents in its glory days. Local residents still tell stories of the great ballroom and the elegant affairs held at this once famous resort.  It is now being restored by local sculptor David Manuel and his wife Lee.  They have a working studio and foundry on the site where David works on his magnificent bronze pieces and where they graciously give tours to visitors.  Soon, tourists will be able to stay at the resort and bask in the natural hot springs.

Union County Museum:  Union County and Union in particular are rich in history.  A visit to the Union County Museum on Main Street in Union will give you a great appreciation for the people and events that shaped our little town.  This museum has a small town feel as you wind your way through the exhibits lovingly set up by local volunteers who are proud and eager to share their heritage with visitors.  You will especially enjoy the Cowboys exhibit.

Buffalo Peak Golf Course;  Play 18 holes on Union's tournament quality golf course where you will have a breath-taking view of the surrounding Grande Ronde Valley.

The Historic Union Hotel

Built in the 1920's, this elegant hotel was the jewel of Union for many years until it eventually fell into disrepair.  In the 1990's it was purchased and the renovation work began.   The new owners, David Barcala and Rob Saye, continue to work to restore this magnificent icon of a bygone era to its full splendor.   Each guest room is furnished and decorated around a theme.  The parlor is available for meetings and gatherings.  There is also a first-class restaurant .
